Project Mirror Preview

The lobby of Regnum Carya becomes literary territory on August 26th. I’ll be talking about Project Mirror, the book that’s been consuming my thoughts since July.

If you’ve been following the blog posts, you know this story emerged from my nail salon chair six weeks ago. A client asked for ‘influencer hands’ through surgery, not polish. That conversation opened a door I can’t close.

Project Mirror imagines a world where your reflection gets software updates. Where people subscribe to symmetrical features like streaming services. Where beauty becomes intellectual property licensed from corporate algorithms.

The scary part? We’re halfway there already.

My protagonist fixes glitches in neural aesthetic systems. When someone’s lip enhancement crashes during a video call, she debugs their face. When eye colour updates conflict with skin optimisation, she rebuilds their entire aesthetic stack.

She believes she’s creating a more beautiful world. She hasn’t figured out yet that perfect faces require perfect thoughts to match.

The discussion starts at 7 PM. We’ll talk about the beauty industry’s evolution from enhancement to replacement, the business models hiding behind ‘democratising beauty’, and why my research keeps making reality look tame.
